Former David W. Butler High School athlete Ty Showalter played a key role as the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets defeated the NC Wesleyan Battling Bishops 76-52 on Friday, March 6, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The matchup, held at Crenshaw Gymnasium at 6:45 p.m., marked the Yellow Jackets’ first meeting against NC Wesleyan in this tournament.

The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets are scheduled to play their next round on Saturday, March 7, at 6:45 p.m., once again at Crenshaw Gymnasium.
