Description:
Visit the Myers Park location anytime during the month of December to complete the December Holidays Literacy Scavenger Hunt. This activity helps participants learn about many different December holidays, including Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa.Children will take an answer sheet and explore the library to search for hidden images with names of 9 different December holidays. Each image also features interesting facts to make this a fun learning activity. Once a scavenger hunter finds all 9 holidays, the answer sheet can be traded for a prize at the circulation desk. This activity involves reading, writing, and observation, is great for children of all ages, and can be completed individually or with a partner.This is a drop-in activity. Registration is not required.
