Our mentees presenting what they learned during this year's Recreation Employment Corp (REC) program!
Since 2011, REC has employed teenaged mentees at neighborhood recreation centers. Mentees are paid, work a maximum of 10 hours per week, and are paired with a recreation staff member. Mentors provide close supervision and guidance during the 40-week program. The mission of the REC program is to empower youth in our community to make positive life choices that maximize their potential. Have an interested teen?
We start taking applications in late fall, so talk to your local recreation center.
