Earlier this week 4 residents graduated from the Male Behavioral Health Unit

Earlier this week 4 residents graduated from the Male Behavioral Health Unit at Mecklenburg County Detention Center. A few quotes from the ceremony:

"Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness."

Happiness is not who you are or what you have, it's what you think.

"If I had some of these skills before, I'd never be here. This program has taken me a long way. I feel like using these skills can get me to my full potential."

"We need programs like this, we don't want to be down here, we need to be down here."

Thanks to the Male BHU residents have learned coping skills and have an opportunity to make a positive move in the right direction. One of our residents even took his talents to paint mural with the help of others in the program.
