When: Saturday, September 17, 8am-11am Where: Online RSVP: boardservices@cms.k12.nc.us In this workshop, you will have time to reflect on and hone your vision for how to be the most effective school board member possible. You will get familiar with the “what,” “why,” and "how" of Student Outcomes Focused Governance, which is the governance system that our board uses.
You will do a deep dive into strategic planning:
• How to translate the community’s vision and values into goals and guardrails for the district.
• How to ensure that those goals and guardrails guide the district towards better student outcomes.
• How to monitor progress along the way.
