Of the 8,923 people living in Pineville in 2020, 56.1 percent (5,004) were women and 43.9 percent (3,919) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the South Mecklenburg News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 729. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,037 females and 565 males.
