If you notice soliciting in your neighborhood, please be aware. The Town of Mint Hill requires all peddlers, canvassers and solicitors apply for a permit before going door to door. The application process is administered by the Mint Hill Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division. Applicants must submit to a criminal history check before permits are issued. Once issued, the permit will include a photo of the permit holder and must always be worn when contacting the public. This chapter shall not apply to solicitation for charitable, civic, religious, patriotic or governmental purposes by persons who serve without compensation or remuneration.Keep your family safe before answering the door. If you have any concerns about solicitation in your neighborhood, please contact non-emergency dispatch at the Mint Hill Police Department at 704-889-2231.
