The ReadDavidson Committee is excited to announce details for its final three events, all focusing on the 2022 adult fiction selection Infinite Country by Patricia Engel.
- Main Street Books will host a virtual panel discussion about immigration on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m.

- Panelists will include specialists whose varied expertise about immigration issues will invite a vibrant discussion of the topic. Special guests include Davidson College Acting Chair of Sociology and William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of Sociology Gerardo Martí and Latin American Coalition Department of Justice Accredited Representative and Attorney Xochitl Sanchez. The conversation will be moderated by Laine Amortegui, certified translator and long-time teacher specializing in Central and South America.

- A culminating event will take place as part of the annual Town Day celebration on Saturday, May 7 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The ReadDavidson Committee is proud to partner with the college’s Davidson Refugee Services (DRS) and participating students in providing awareness building, fundraising, and a family-friendly activity, all with the goal of supporting Refugee Support Services in Charlotte.

ReadDavidson, an annual town-wide reading initiative that started in 2007, is a partnership between the Town of Davidson, the Davidson Public Library, Main Street Books, and local avid readers.
