The Davidson and Cornelius Police Departments are joining forces and offering a free shredding event on April 9 in the Hough High School student parking lot.

The event will run 9:00 a.m. until noon, or until trucks reach their capacity (or some other unforeseen event such as bad weather or equipment failure occurs). Officers will be assisting with directions, and participants are asked to stay in their vehicles. Residents can bring up to 4 boxes (normal file sized) of obsolete documents, financial statements, etc...

No need to remove clips, staples, or binders from these documents! Please do not bring items that can be recycled or trashed, such as junk mail, newspapers or magazines.
