Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools issued the following announcement on Mar. 10.
Within the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) Social Emotional Learning (SEL) framework, there are five competencies. The fourth competency featured today is Relationship Skills.
According to CASEL, relationship skills is "the ability to establish and maintain healthy and supportive relationships and to effectively navigate settings with diverse individuals and groups."
Examples of relationship skills are problem-solving collaboratively within a group, taking a leadership role on a team, and offering help to others.
