Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is proud to partner with Teen Health Connection for a three-part series of workshops to aid in parenting teens. Kris Hawkins, Parent Educator at Teen Health Connection, will share an informative workshop and answer your questions! Each workshop will take place on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in March, April, and May. You may attend one part only, but we recommend participating in all three! Active Parenting: Control vs Influence
Control means you have 100% power over the outcome. Influence means you have between 1% and 99% power over the outcome. Since the truth is, the only person who can control a teen’s behavior is the teen, we will explore parenting from the position of influence, what behaviors support this method and the benefits of putting this parenting approach into action.
Details: Registration ends at 9:00 a.m. the morning of the program. A Zoom link will be sent to participants morning of the program.
