Residents Invited to Complete Affordable Housing Plan Survey

Surveyaa

Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on Feb. 7.

Town of Davidson residents have the opportunity to provide feedback for the Affordable Housing Plan (known as LiveDavidson) beginning this week. The plan seeks to actively address the economic and social equity impacts to Davidson’s affordable housing needs.

Davidson is one of the most expensive places to live in the state, and it is anticipated that real estate prices and rent will continue to increase in the foreseeable future. The Davidson Board of Commissioners has charged OnPointe Partners, the plan’s consultant, with helping to develop a plan that provides comprehensive, and alternative, recommendations for producing new and preserving existing affordable homes, targeted regulatory changes, strategic infrastructure investments, strategic ways to spend the housing (payment in lieu) funds, identify new funding sources as well as other tools to increase affordable housing.

For some fast facts about the affordable housing plan, please check out our informational flyer here.

The LiveDavidson Affordable Housing Plan Community Engagement portion of the process begins with the LiveDavidson Survey. Please take the first step by completing the 2-3 minute survey hereResidents Invited to Complete Affordable Housing Plan Survey. Your responses and feedback will contribute to the final Affordable Housing Plan.

There will be additional opportunities to provide public input, both online and in-person, and as the public engagement moves into its final phase, the committee hopes to host a public community meeting during which it will share the survey results. Watch for more information soon!
