Guilford County issued the following announcement on Dec. 21.
Guilford County wants to hear from you! Guilford County is working to identify who has access to broadband internet and digital devices and who does not. This will help the County develop a strategy to assist communities where access or service is lacking or the cost is too high.
Attend one of the Gaps and Opportunities community meetings in January! Learn more about the broadband strategy goals and give your input on internet challenges in your community.
These meetings will take place in-person on the dates below from 6:00PM-7:30PM:
- January 4, 2022 - Windsor Community Center, 1601 East Lee Street, Greensboro, NC 27401
- January 6, 2022 - Northeast Guilford High School, 6700 McLeansville Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301
- January 10, 2022 - Nathanael Greene Elementary, 2717 N.C. Highway 62 E., Liberty, NC 27298
- January 11, 2022 - Brown Recreation Center, 302 E Vandalia Rd, Greensboro, NC 27406
- January 13, 2022 - Washington Terrace Community Center, 101 Gordon St, High Point, NC 27260
Not able to attend a meeting? Complete the online survey by January 14, 2022. You’ll be asked questions about your lived experience, including:
- If you currently have access to the internet
- How you access the internet at home
- Your internet speeds and costs
- What digital devices you use to access the internet
- How comfortable you are completing certain tasks on the internet
