Attention Parents and Caregivers.... Block off your lunch hour to join us for a special Parent Lunch & Learn program just for you! You will have the opportunity to learn something new in a quick thirty-minute session led by a Library staff member, and then connect with other parents and caregivers. Parent Education improves mental health and well-being, improves parent-child interactions, and can increase social connections. Read below to learn about this week's program:
Teaching Gratitude to Your Children
Thanksgiving is a time to share what we are thankful for, but is there a better way to teach gratitude to your children that will last all year? Join Jennifer Price, Children's Librarian at Mountain Island Library, for an informative presentation on teaching gratitude to children. You will learn how to get your child to deeply receive gifts from others and to notice what they already have in their lives. Help your child understand the value of a thank you, to help your child complete acts of gratitude toward others.
Details: Registration ends at 9:00 a.m. the morning of the program. A Zoom link will be sent to participants morning of the program.
