Benestar Brands will invest $24 million into a new production facility in Kings Mountain that the company anticipates will add 129 jobs with an average $43,021 salary to Cleveland County.
“After an extensive search throughout the southeast, we selected Kings Mountain, North Carolina for our newest production facility based on the state’s strong support of the manufacturing industry and talented workforce,” Benestar Brands CEO Carl Lee, Jr., said in an October Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina release.
The rapidly-growing snack food brand focuses on high-quality snacks targeted at health-conscious consumers, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina said in the expansion.
The new facility’s added jobs will include managerial, operational, maintenance, warehouse, and office staff.
“Over the past year, our company has expanded our portfolio of innovative savory snacks, entering new categories that will be produced at this Plant,” Lee said in the release. “We look forward to an ongoing partnership with the State of North Carolina as we expand our company.”
