Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on Aug. 4.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of Commissioners for the Town of Huntersville on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. on proposed new electric rates for Huntersville ElectriCities customers. The proposed rates are based upon a Cost of Service Study performed by Booth & Associates, LLC, of Raleigh, NC. Information concerning the proposed rates may be found on the Town of Huntersville website at www.huntersville.org/ElectriCitiesRates. This public hearing will be held both in person at the Huntersville Recreation Center located at 11836 Verhoeff Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078, and virtually via livestream at https://www.facebook.com/HuntersvilleNCTownGovernment. The Board of Commissioners will participate remotely. The public is invited to attend and comment (1) in person at the Huntersville Recreation Center, (2) by email to the Clerk @ jpierson@huntersville.org (until 24 hours after close of the public hearing), and (3) by telephonic communication in accordance with instructions sent to persons who have registered with the Town Clerk to speak by telephonic communication no later than 3pm on the day of the public hearing. In- person attendance will be limited in accordance with the state of emergency restrictions in place as of the date of the hearing.
