COUNTY OF MECKLENBURG: Budget Retreat Set For Fiscal year 2021

County of Mecklenburg issued the following announcement on Jan. 28.

The Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will hold its Annual FY2021 Retreat on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020 and Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at the Central Piedmont Community College – Harris Conference Center.  The two-day retreat sets the stage to start developing the County Manager’s Recommended FY2021.  Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners, County Manager Dena R. Diorio, and County leaders will discuss fiscal policies for FY21 and the financial status of the County during the two-day event.

Mecklenburg County residents will soon have another opportunity to share their priorities on the FY21 budget.  Beginning on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 Mecklenburg County will host a series of five Community Budget Workshops. The workshops will be held throughout the month of February in various regions of the County.  

During each event, residents will be able to discuss their budget priorities with County Manager Dena R. Diorio and Budget Director Michael Bryant, as well as learn more about the budget process.
