TOWN OF HUNTERSVILLE: A Huntersville Christmas Returns December 6th and 7th to Downtown

Town of Huntersville issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.

Join us for a weekend of festivities December 6 and December 7 downtown for A Huntersville Christmas, the town’s annual holiday festival!  

The streets of Downtown Huntersville will be turned into a magical winter wonderland and bring two days full of holiday cheer!

Friday, December 6, 7-9pm Town Center Tree Lighting presented by Pridemore Properties. Tree will be lit at 7:00pm at Town Center to start the Christmas weekend! Free activities to follow at Veterans Park from 7p-9p include: Pictures with Santa, rides, obstacle courses, s’mores, Artisan Ice Sculptures, and music by North Mecklenburg Community Chorus. Enjoy the local downtown restaurants for dinner or snacks including funnel cakes, popcorn, cotton candy, coffee, and hot chocolate will be for purchase.

Saturday, December 7, 2-8pm A Huntersville Christmas. Free activities at Veterans Park include: rides, obstacle courses, Artisan Ice Sculptures, holiday performances on stage from a variety of local groups, Carolers of Christmas Past, airbrush tattoos, balloon twisters, inflatable snow globe pictures, roaming holiday characters, pictures with Santa, letters to Santa, jugglers, stories with Mrs. Claus, horse drawn carriage rides, and more! Do some shopping with local vendors who have the perfect holiday gifts for your last minute needs. Food for purchase by Carolina Smash Truck, Ole Buddy’s Oinker Express, Bad Mother Smokers, Vito’s Pizza, FunOhCakes, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 321, and LKN Teen Council. Non-profits will be handing out free hot chocolate and goodies around the event as well.

Parking for the event will be located at the following places:

Town Center Parking Garage: 105 Gilead Road

Huntersville Elementary: 200 Gilead Road,

First Baptist Church of Huntersville: 121 N. Old Statesville Road

Huntersville ARP Church: 200 N. Old Statesville Road

Robert B. Blythe Building: 102 Gilead Road

Town Hall: 101 Huntersville-Concord Rd.
