From March 22, 2023 post.

What are we doing about invasive plant species in our parks, greenways, and nature preserves? We use a variety of methods including prescribed burns (at select preserves) and mechanical removal, where teams physically cut and pull invasive plants from the habitat.

What can you do? If you want to help us, sign up to be a volunteer and look for invasive removal projects: https://meck.co/3zUkuzY. At your home, remove invasive plants and plant natives. For a closer look at some great native plants options, read our blog post: https://meck.co/3KyIrVO.

Another important aspect of invasive control? Talking about it!   Share educational resources with your neighbors and friends on what plants are harmful and which ones are helpful.
