On Sunday, April 6, former Independence High School standout Maya Douglas’ current college team, the Harvard Crimson, won 11-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Penn Quakers.
The game took place at Penn Park. This was their third matchup against the Quakers this season.
The Crimson’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 4 p.m. at Glay Field against Providence Friars.

These ex-South Mecklenburg County area high school standouts will take the field during the week of Monday, Sept. 8.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 1 will feature action from these former South Mecklenburg County area high school stars.
