North Carolina A&T defeats South Carolina State 10-2 in softball, featuring Maliyah Alexander

On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m., North Carolina A&T Aggies, featuring former Independence High School standout Maliyah Alexander, claimed a 10-2 win over the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs in an NCAA Division I softball contest.

The matchup was held at Lady Aggies Softball Complex and marked their second meeting with the Lady Bulldogs this season. In the earlier game on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Aggies earned an 8-1 victory.

Alexander pitched three innings, permitting one earned run, with three walks and four strikeouts.

The Aggies are set for their next game Sunday, March 1, at 1 p.m., facing Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks at Lady Aggies Softball Complex.
