The average reported price of midgrade gas across the county was $4.12 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that midgrade gas was available at 178 of the 320 reported gas stations in Mecklenburg County.
For comparison, the average price of midgrade gas in North Carolina was $4.04 per gallon for the week ending Mar. 21, up from the previous week.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
