On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former David W. Butler High School standouts Canon Pierce and Zachary Gaydos’ current college team, the UNC Asheville Bulldogs, lost 29-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Tennessee Volunteers.

The game took place at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Volunteers this season.

The Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. at Bill Brooks Field against UNC Wilmington Seahawks.
